Kellyanne Conway: Sean Spicer's Version Of Inauguration Numbers Are "Alternative Facts"


Responding to a question from Meet The Press host Chuck Todd about why Trump asked his press secretary to "utter a falsehood" during his very first news conference, presidential advisor Kellyanne Conway created a phrase I expect we'll be hearing a lot of over the next four years.

Todd: "It undermines the credibility of the entire White House press office on day one."

Conway: "Don't be so overly dramatic about it, Chuck. You're saying it's a falsehood. Sean Spicer, our press secretary, gave alternative facts to that."

Todd: "Alternative facts are not facts. They're falsehoods."
